Beginning her career with two-time Grammy and BET Award nominated, Dove and Stellar-winning Gospel group, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Angel evolved as an artist experiencing the challenges of pushing past the musical, visual, and performance limitations of urban and contemporary Gospel music. Being a member of Trin-i-tee 5:7 provided her many of her most life-changing moments such as performing for personal inspiration Aretha Franklin. Collaborating with Mary J. Blige and the Clark Sisters for a main stage Grammy-Award performance and embracing the genuine stories of how their music inspired those who often felt shunned from their personal church homes.
Becoming a solo artist had always been a dream of Angel Taylor’s. With her debut solo single, “Speak,” that dream became a defining new chapter in her career. The uplifting, groove-filled record reached No. 1 and earned Angel her first Grammy nomination as a solo artist.
Inspired by a song she grew up singing in the church choir, “Speak” encouraged listeners to quiet the distractions of everyday life, draw closer to God, and remain open to His voice. Its message felt especially timely in a world filled with constant noise, social media, and competing demands for our attention.
Now, Angel continues that journey with her second solo release, “Show Me Your Wonders.” Her most personal work to date, “Show Me Your Wonders” moves from listening for God’s voice to asking for His strength, guidance, and intervention. The powerful, heartfelt ballad is an honest prayer for the moments when our own answers are no longer enough.
